Favourable and excellent setting, just off the center of the complex, local restaurants, and well kept gardens and pools within. Spacious and tidy room with climate control, multi-channel television, and a dining area, and extremely comfy bed.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Santa Cruz downtown. The location of the hotel, Diria, was extremely convenient for us. It allowed us easy access to the local restaurants and attractions in the area. The staff at Diria were all friendly and courteous, providing us with excellent service throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the delicious and generously portioned breakfast that was served each morning. Additionally, the rooms at the hotel were spacious and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The location of the hotel is not visible from the road and the surrounding area is surrounded by factories. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds but the bathroom is poorly maintained with splashes over and the facilities need upgrading. Breakfast vouchers are issued, however, they cover only a specific type of breakfast and beverage which can create an awkward conversation with the restaurant staff. On the plus side, the hotel has a clean, warm swimming pool and the garden space within the complex is well-kept.

The check-in process is not smooth, taking place through the security person who doesn't provide the room key immediately.

The atmosphere during Xmas was enjoyable with plenty of people around. the complimentary drinks were refreshing, and the location near the beach was fantastic. There were also free beach towels available, which was a nice touch.

The rooms were not as advertised in the photos, old and outdated, with broken furniture and dirty carpets. the staff was unresponsive and unhelpful, and the noise level inside the hotel was very high, making it impossible to have a good night's sleep.
